Oh, what a year. 2019 was a mess of a mess to finish out the decade. Like Charli XCX said, “the world is burning. literally and metaphorically.” Since the planet is in flames, we might as well dance while we try to save this burning ball we call home.

Today Allie X released her first EP, COLLXTION I. The EP features hit singles “Catch”, “Bitch”, and “Prime” as well as several new tracks. We featured “Prime” as our #2 pop song of 2014. New track “Hello” is a bouncing, saccharine pop treat. Both new tracks “Good” and “Sanctuary” offer up fresh takes on the Allie X mystique. “Good” is a introspective downtempo chant while “Sanctuary” is a 90’s infected power ballad. With the range of sounds Allie X offers on COLLXTION I, it will be interesting to see how she ties these sounds together for her first album. COLLXTION I proves that Allie X should be one to watch in 2015 and beyond.
